The Book Chair Tutoring believes in Active Learning and a Student-Centered Approach.

• We will work one-on-one with the student and family to customize instruction, expectations, and goals
• We will make learning fun by tailoring instruction based on student interests and hobbies
• Our approach aims to inspire life long learning through meaningful and thought-provoking lessons

All of The Book Chair's programs are customized based on the learner's needs. All programs and instruction are aligned with New Jersey State Standards.

• Pre-assessments to determine students specific needs 
• Focuses on exact skills and mastery of those skills
• Elementary School Reading

Writing

• Holistic approach to writing including brainstorming techniques, prewriting, drafting, revising, editing, and publishing
• Various forms of composition techniques including creative, descriptive, persuasive, and informative essay writing
• Grammar, spelling, sentence structure, and more!

Study Skills

• Study techniques including evaluating vital information, organizational skills, time management, note-taking skills, and test-taking skills
